Job description: production and process engineer

 

Environment

 

• ACM produces carbon-based and silicon carbide-based products, mainly used for the catalysis market

• A small (<10) development team in a pilot site

• Location: Willstätt (Germany, zip code 77731), 15 km from Strasbourg/Kehl

• Hours: day time,

• Reports directly to ACM’s Geschätfürher

 

Missions

 

1. Industrialization of process, adapting the production tool to commercial production

 

• Design and install new production lines: selection and validation of technologies, preparing the specification list, analysis of offers, assessing capital expenditures, supervision of installation

• Analysis of HSE risks

• Interaction with suppliers, the Willstatt industrial park owners and German authorities

• Startup of production units, definition of procedures and follow up of key indicators

 

2. Plant management

 

• Plan production runs (commercial or R&D)

• Train and manage production team

• Guarantee quality control and customers' specifications

• Analyze and manage production costs

• Analyze discrepancies and implement a continuous improvement process: improve reliability, increase production, cut costs

• Manage technical and economic issues to develop new products

 

Experience / skills

 

• Engineer with 5-10 years of industrial experience in a similar position

• German: fluent (oral and written), English: good level, French a plus

• Manufacturing technologies used to produce shaped materials (convey liquids and powders, mixing, shaping, thermal treating, treating emissions, HSE requirements, etc…)

• Management of a production team

• Project management
