SICAT, a producer of innovative specialty catalyst supports and adsorbents, such as Beta-Silicon Carbides and Synthetic Carbons, today announces Stephane Wambergue’s appointment as Chief Operating Officer effective 1st of January 2021.

Jean-Bernard Lartigue, Sicat’s CEO and former CEO of Total Petrochemicals said “Stephane has more than 25 years’ experience in Technology and international Marketing with leading world-class catalyst companies in the fields of chemicals, green chemicals and fuels, oil and gas. He will bring additional talent to SICAT for meeting fast growing commercial acceptance as well as new business opportunities in green applications of our products, including in urban air depollution.”

Stephane Wambergue said “I am very excited to lead and develop this fantastic team, continue building strong relationships with our existing clients and open up new markets for the catalyst supports and adsorbents of Sicat, both -Silicon Carbides and Synthetic Carbons. These materials have strong differentiation factors in many sectors of the oil and chemical industry, with customised porosity, surface area and shapes, associated to outstanding mechanical strengths and thermal conductivity, enhancing catalyst performance including in the most aggressive reaction environments. The technology development of TrapAparT (Sicat’s 100% owned subsidiary) for a passive extraction of particulate matters from urban air is also extremely exciting and promising for a healthier planet.”
